Bedroom makeover!

The girls and I spent the afternoon reorganizing their room. They got a number of new accessories and furniture for their Barbies and little dolls. Since we needed a 'doll house' to keep them in, we decided to make one out of the bookcase that used to hold toy bins. We switched the night stand and bookcase /toy bin around so the bookcase is now a 'doll house'. It is between Kay's bed/window and the dresses. It makes a cute little cozy area that the girls can play with their Barbies and little dolls.

New arrangement with their Bibles on their nightstand.

Their new 'doll house' play area.

Their cute beds they made themselves.
They helped rearrange everything and clean their room. They dusted, made their beds, picked up, moved furniture and had a delightful time arranging their 'doll house' furniture and accessories in their new home. Their room looks super cute. They already have been making their beds every morning and keeping their room pretty well organized and cleaned for the last few months.  It was nice to go an extra step and make them feel like they were getting an extra special thing because they were taking such good care of their room.

Oh dear mom, more pictures?

Kay humoring me.

Say cheese! :)

What is better than sister's sharing a room?! :)
I love seeing them get joy out of organizing, cleaning and caring for their home. I definitely have rubbed off on them at least somewhat (much to Josh's chagrin). ;)
