My girls are 4! How did that happen? How did 4 years go by in the blink of an eye? I cannot get over how smart, kind, loving, sweet, beautiful, and caring they are. They do new things each day that amaze me a bit more.
This year their birthday was the day after Thanksgiving. Since their birthday falls the day before, on, or after thanksgiving, we are not able to have just one party since we are traveling the whole weekend to family parties. This means that instead they have 3 parties! They don't mind at all! ;)
Way too much happened this weekend so I'll just start at the beginning with Thursday. Ahhh... The joy of Thanksgiving day! We were at my parent's house for my
family's Thanksgiving. My Grandma Lorena and Papa Roger were even able
to come and celebrate with us. The fun part is that my Grandma's
birthday is right after the girls so we had 3 birthdays to celebrate! We
ate lots of turkey, had lots of family time, movie time, and game time.
It was great.

Just to add yet another thing in the crazy mix of the weekend, we decided on Thanksgiving to give Caleb his first hair cut. He was starting to get a mullet look and that was not going happen to my boy! My mom cut it and other than 1 or 2 oops moments, it turned out cute. Not only are my girls getting so big, but my boy is as well!
 |
The only way to keep Caleb entertained was playing with an electric toothbrush. |
 |
Caleb was not a fan of hair cut time! |

November 25th! The girls turned officially 4! Crazy! Josh and I blew up
tons of balloons and my mom got some helium ones and we put them all
over their rooms so when they woke up in the morning they were
completely surprised and super excited! All of a sudden we heard Kay
yell, "Grace, Grace, wake up! There are balloons EVERYWHERE!" Caleb then
pipes up with his usual, "oooh oooh" and then spent 10 minutes batting
the helium balloon and then doing his little dance. It was so fun
hearing their excitement and joy over a little thing like a bunch of
balloons!

Balloons galore! |

There are balloons everywhere! |
 |
Grace's fav balloon were the purple ones. |
 |
This is just so shocking! |
 |
"I love my balloons" |

Kay of course liked the pink ones. |

The day continued with playing outside in the gorgeous 50 degree weather. The girls wanted to wear their fancy dresses that grandma keeps at her house and have their hair done up pretty. They loved the attention.

Grace - so pretty! |

Kay- so beautiful! |
We then enjoyed eating all the leftovers from the day before. YUM! The sad part however is that the girls did not take their nap and right as we are sitting down for dinner, we glance over at Grace in her seat and see that she has totally fallen asleep! We put her down for a quick nap while we ate dinner and then convinced her that cake and presents were a good enough reason to wake up. You can tell in some of the pictures though that she wasn't quite awake. On the other hand, Kay was a ball of energy! We sang happy birthday to each one individually and they ate it up! They even sang for each other. I loved it. Blowing out the candles was hilarious. They couldn't figure out how to blow forward; they kept blowing up instead.
 |
Kay- SUPER DUPER EXCITED - YEAH!!! :) :) :) |
 |
Grace, I'm just sleeping.... |
 |
Kay loved every second of being sang to. |
 |
Blowing out candles ended up being a challenge though! |
 |
Grace starting to get into having everyone sing to her. |
 |
Once again those darn candles won't go out! |
 |
Happy, but tired eyes. |
 |
Okay, now we are both really excited because we get to eat the cake next! |
 |
Hmmm... or at least the frosting on the candles! |

Goofy face Kay |
 |
Don't forget Grace's goofy face. |
Next came presents! As you can guess they were thrilled to finally get to this part of their day. Josh and I got them sing-along Disney princesses. Kay has been repeatedly saying she wants Belle. So we got her Belle and Grace Cinderella. Kay loved hers but Grace was sad. She really wanted Arielle (they were out of Arielle when I went to buy them online). I was so sad she was so disappointed. Tear. :( They really liked their other gifts of pjs, gift cards to Jungle Joes, a princess tent, clothes, outfits, toy ferris wheel, whew... they got alot! My mom even got them a little tread mill. They always try to go on the big one and they thought it was awesome to have one their size. They were so cute on it. :)

Caleb enjoyed the princess castle too! |

So fun! |

They loved the whole day and couldn't wait to have more fun the rest of the weekend. I will update part two on the Vicksburg side asap! :)
