Blueberry pancakes -Labor Day Weekend

Gracious- I don't know if I am cut out for this blogging thing; which is ironic since I kept a journal for close to 10 years and wrote in it pretty much everyday. Part of me thinks it is the 'public' thing that scares me off. Overall I am a person that is not afraid to be vulnerable or let my faults show, but that is typically with people I know. Today is the beginning of our Labor Day weekend. We started it off in the best way possible: making blueberry pancakes for breakfast heaping with strawberries and whip cream- really it was more a dessert than a breakfast. I always know when something is good when Caleb makes his 'I'm super excited and love this sooooo much' sound. Well, definitely heard that this morning like 3 times. Every time he does it I have to laugh.
Going into this weekend a month ago we were beckoned from every side to join family for vacations up north, camping, cabin, etc. But when the time came everyone backed out for some reason or another. Oh well. I shall just enjoy a nice relaxing weekend at home. Thus far the kids are playing, I'm blogging, and Josh is cleaning up breakfast (yep, I do have the best husband ever). Poor Caleb is trying to figure out this Mr. Potatoe Head thing. He keeps looking at it with this expression of 'what is WRONG with this guy- his face keeps falling off?!" Quite amusing to watch.
