Family fun in Grand Rapids! :)

We had a busy weekend! It was Family weekend at Grand Valley for my brother, Scott. We had been planning to go spend a weekend at Josh and Ashley's house for awhile so Josh, the kids and I went up to Grand Rapids. It was a great opportunity for the kids to spend some quality time with their cousins, Carson and Blake. The kids had a blast! The girls slept in sleeping bags in Carson's room. They were up half the night talking and laughing. Caleb and Blake had a great time showing off what cool sounds they could make with their tongues. The kids played non-stop, bouncing from one activity to another.

Saturday we were off to Grand Valley. Josh (my hubby) and Josh (brother-in-law), both got up early and met my mom for the golf outing on campus. They not only did well, but won the entire tourney. They won.... drum roll please...... two free rounds of golf each Yippee, another excuse for them to go golfing- (like they need it!).  Marian, Trev, Katie, Jason, Scott, and my dad met up with us and we all went to downtown Grand Rapids to the Art Prize show.  It was super crowded, but really cool. The exhibits were so nice and the kids loved the large outside exhibits.
Saturday night we went to the Grand Valley football game. Kay fell asleep within the first two minutes of the game, but Grace and Caleb had a fun time amusing everyone sitting around us with their antics.  Caleb was adorable in a full Camo body suit-  hand covers and all. It drove him nuts not being able to grab things with his fingers. At one point when Caleb got a bit antsy, I finally let him down to move around a bit. I glance down wondering what he is doing, when suddenly I notice he is face down on the ground eating peanut shells off the concrete. No, we did not buy peanuts. Yes, my son decided that he didn't need hands to eat some strangers peanut shells, oh no, he decided who needs hands?!- I can just lick them off the floor. GROSS!

Kayleigh was asleep within the first 2 minutes.

Happy boy! (yes, upside down camera)

YAY Caleb!

Sunday was actually quite relaxing: church, playing outside, a walk, football and baseball. On our walk we even came across a Oktoberfest celebration with free brats, German music, and beer. Grace and Carson had a blast dancing to the music!  Not a bad way to end a weekend away. :)
Caleb drove the Polaris into the side of the car not just once, but twice in the same day by himself!
