Hi ho hi ho it's off to yard work we go...

Today Josh, the kids, and I spent the afternoon doing more yard work. This is now our third day working on fall cleanup and by for the best day yet. The weather was gorgeous. The kids loved being outside and helping us rake, clean up sticks, and pick the last of the veggies. They had fun playing with rollie pollies and woolly bear caterpillars. Nothing like cleaning up the garden to find all kinds of insects.

I love the sense of accomplishment that comes with completing a very physical  and concrete task like yard work. You rake the leaves, jump in the pile, and then bag them away. The only thing that would be better is being able to burn them (not allowed in our neighborhood unfortunately). You finish and while you are tired, you also feel just plain good. I love it!
